How to transform your life into the life you want

While we are all individuals, with own path in life, most of us would like to improve our own journey, and the journey of our loved ones and friends.

We all have the ability to influence our lives, and therefore how enjoyable our life is.

Often simple steps lead to dramatic changes in the quality of our lifes, however
"If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!"

To transform your life, into the life you want, YOU NEED TO…

1) To take responsibility for your life. DO NOT accept that there is nothing you can do. We can all transform our lives for the better starting today, STARTING NOW!

2) Implement the changes that are required to achieve your goals. If you need help or assistance, take the actions that are required to get it.

Taking responsibility, implies that you need to take control of your life.

You cannot take control if you aimlessly wander through life, you need a GOAL - TARGET to aim for.

When you have a GOAL you can relate everything you do to your GOAL.

There are two principal rules you should use:

Rule 1 Spend more time on activities that bring you closer to your GOALS. This will bring you closer to the life you want.

Rule 2 The sooner you make the changes required to increase the time you spend doing the things that will bring you closer to your GOALS the sooner your life will be transformed into the life you want.

Start by identifying your GOALS.
The 21st century is a challenging time to live and most of us would like to improve the quality of our lives.

How to set your goals

There are basically two methods you can use to help you to set your goals.

1) Identify what you do want.
2) Identify what you can improve or do not want.

Obviously you can also use a combination of these two.

Using the first method think of what you do want in life. For example, I want to...
  • Increase my income.
  • Reduce health problems or risks.
    • Improve my health or help to prevent future health issues.
    • Improve my childrens health, or help to prevent future health issues for them.
    • Improve the health of others I know (family / friends), or help to prevent future health issues for them.
  • Improve my quality of your life or / and the quality of my families life:
    • Buy a new home or improve my existing home.
    • Buy a new car.
    • Increase my free time.
    • Go on holiday
    • etc.
  • Develop personally:
    • Do a more rewarding job.
    • Increase my circle or friends.
    • Improve my personal relationships.
    • Increase my feeling of self worth.
    • Increase my personal skills.
    • Have more fun in life.
    • etc.
  • Help my children:
    • Get a better education.
    • Give them a better chance in life.
    • Leave them a legacy.
    • etc.
  • etc.
Using the second method, identify problems you do have, I can identify with...

  • Money problems or concerns:
    • Your current income does not cover all of your basic living expenses:
      • Morgage or rent.
      • Healthy diet.
      • Services.
      • etc.
    • You are limited in what you can provide for your children or other family members:
      • Schooling.
      • Further education.
      • Healthy diet.
      • Other necessities.
      • etc.
    • You do not have enough money for:
      • Holidays.
      • Lifes extras.
    • Your retirement income / pension:
      • Is not keeping up with inflation.
      • Will NOT provide you with a reasonable standard of living.
      • Is at risk, possibly because your pension provider could go insolvent.
      • You will be dependent on the state pension.
    • You are currently in debt.
      • Overdrawn credit cards or store cards.
      • Loans from banks, loan companies, family or friends.
      • etc.
  • Not enough time:
    • Long working hours.
    • Long commute times.
  • Health issues, for you or your family:
    • Healthy diets
      • For adults.
      • For children.
    • Illness
      • Existing issues.
      • Preventitive health for you and your family.
  • Unhappy at work:
    • Bullying.
    • Sexual harassment.
    • Bad atmosphere.
    • Bad working conditions.
    • Work is too physically demanding.
    • Work is too mentally demanding.
    • etc.
  • No opportunity for personal development:
    • You cannot progress in your job because:
      • No opportunities exist for advancement in your current job.
      • Your employer does not provide additional training.
      • You cannot afford the time or cost of additional training.
      • Unable to change career direction.
    • You are a home keeper:
      • You need to work around your children or other family members.
      • Cannot work regular hours.
      • You need flexible working hours.
      • You have pets or animals that limit what you can do.
      • etc.
